Connect, is the largest digital community in the North of England. With over 270 members it's worth becoming a part of it...

Once upon a time (in 2004) there was a man called Herb Kim, he was an American living in London and working at a big multinational organisation. He’d always heard great things about the North East of England from many a friend. He was intrigued and ready to help the digital community in the North East and setup Codeworks to establish Codeworks Connect. 7 years have now passed and Connect has grown to over 270 companies. Amazing what a little bit of time can achieve.

Herb Kim

CEO

Herb is the man behind the Thinking Digital Conference. He thinks digitally day and night, keeping everyone up to speed with the tech world and latest kitteh videos.

Joeli Brearley

Head of Sector Development

Joeli is head of all things Connect and has got her fingers in just about every other pie we’ve got going! A great gal to have in the office, she is however happiest in a tent at Glastonbury.

Laura Harrison

Project Manager

Laura organises our Connect events and manages Jobs in Digital, though her heart is in Atlanta and Georgia is always on her mind.

Lucy Ault

Membership and Events Manager

Lucy is in charge of our membership and monthly events including Think and a Drinks. When she isn't busy finding venues and speakers she spends her time buried in travel books planning her up coming honeymoon.

Emilia Flockhart

Communications Exec

Emilia is our social media lady, always happy to spread your news and offer advice on all things digital. Out of the office she loves a good pint of Scandinavian cider and cooks a mean courgette cake.

Elspeth Lawson

Project Manager

Elspeth is the woman you want when it comes to holding a conference. Always on the ball, and an expert runner too. She has a thing for stuffed toys, as anyone who has seen her desk will know.

Nina Cliff

GameHorizon Producer

Nina is the producer of our GameHorizon conference and a wiz with the web and the press. Often found dressed in black she is stealth like on the social channels and has a thing for all things Angry Birds.

Oli Wood

DIBI Producer

Oli is the approachable geek in every sense of the word. Producer of all things DIBI, bee keeper, Wedding Tales maker, and aspiring chef too.

Naomi Daniel

Finance Executive

Naomi is our number cruncher who keeps things ticking over here at Codeworks towers. When she hasn’t got her head buried in Sage on-line you can often find her drinking tea and satisfying her sweet tooth.
