POTTS PRINT: PRINTING SINCE 1875, TWEETING SINCE 2011

Leading North East independent printing company and Codeworks Members Potts Prints (UK) are taking the company online with a brand new website and a massive social presence including Facebook, Twitter and the Atlas View blog.

Potts Prints’ (UK) new website designed in house by Laurie Cansfield, includes an extensive history section telling the story of the company since it was established in 1875 right up until the present day. A complete list of contacts for all divisions in the printing, packaging and direct mail services are also included and a Google Map with directions to the Cramlington based printing facility, storage & distribution centre and offices.

The completely redeveloped website compliments the new social media marketing direction the company has been taking in 2011, including high activity on social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin where the company have been increasing their following exponentially. To mark the launch of the new website and social media presence, Potts Print (UK) is giving away a ‘Social Media Marketing Guide’ via Facebook where visitors can download a pdf of useful social media marketing tips and how-to’s when becoming a fan of the page (by clicking ‘Like’).

Location based application Gowalla is the newest addition to the Potts Print (UK) web presence. The company sponsors a number of arts, sports and charity organisations in the north east, and can help promote these venues (and itself) by ‘checking-in’ during visits. Potts Print (UK) has created a Gowalla trip called DOON THE TOON – that includes Northern Stage, Laing Art Gallery, The Sage and Live Theater, plus bars nearby – and a group of staff are planning to do the trip one weekend this summer. If anyone would like to join the trip please contact Laurie Cansfield at Potts Print (UK) via Gowalla, Twitter or a good old fashioned phone call: 0845 375 1875

Vimeo – http://vimeo.com/pottsprintuk – will be used to post video interviews with leading figures in printing, design and the arts, including the directors of Potts Print (UK), directors of organisations sponsored by the company, and live blogs from arts, sports and charity events.

On the new website Corporate Communications Manager Laurie Cansfield said;

“The new Potts Print (UK) website represents the company in a more fitting way than the old one. The technology at our print facility is amazing, so I think our online presence should reflect this! Being active on social networks and running a blog means that customers have a wider choice of ways to communicate with us too. Hopefully, via the website and everything else, people can find out a bit more about what we do and how we do it”.
